In the June 30 release of version 5.3, Contentworker will add true deny security to SharePoint. This feature will allow matter owners or administrators to deny access to users or groups to clients or matters in Contentworker, extending the existing ethical wall features.
Users that have been denied access to a client will not be able to see or access the client or existing and future matters for the client. (The same functionality is also available directly on matters.) This will take precedence over SharePoint standard security and there is no way to intentionally nor non intentionally give access to the content through SharePoint security. If client/matter denial for a user is removed, SharePoint security will take over.
The authentication is handled at the server level and not in the web interface itself so the denial will also stop users from accessing content through other interfaces such as Windows Explorer view, third party tools or mobile devices.
